My name is Sandra, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my friend, Jacci Trotter, and her Husky Pack:
Jacci has a couple of dogs with health issues, but my bigger concern is for Jacci, herself. She has been quietly struggling for some time, and has only asked for help, when one of her pups needed it. I've known Jacci and her pups for several years, from my Husky Group, and those babies mean the world to her! there is nothing she wouldn't do for them!
While we all have our difficult times, financially speaking, Jacci was hanging in there, while she was still able to work, but last year, she had to have knee surgery, and go on a long term disability, so she could no longer work and make a paycheck. Take it from someone who knows all too well, disabilty is NOT by any means a living wage. I only have 2 dogs to feed, besides myself. Jacci has 8 dogs to feed! There is also the medical needs!
Last year, her sweet girl, Star was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease, and while she is doing much better, Cushing's disease means frequent rechecks to make sure the dosage on the meds are correct. The meds are also very expensive!
And now, another one of her beloved pups, Jersey, is having a medical issue. Jersey had a couple of small lumps on her last Vet visit, but her Vet said to keep an eye on them, and wasn't worried. But now, one of the lumps is horrible! Jacci can't handle the finances to get help for Jersey right now.
Jacci's long term disability ended, and she is appealing it. She is without income, so her only income is donating plasma. NO ONE should have to live like that. NO ONE! She is waiting for Social Security Disability to be approved, and until then, she needs all the help we can give her! She is also going to apply for SNAP.
Her son and son-in-law have stepped up to cover bills and the majority of the rent. She tries to pitch in towards rent even if it's only $100. But she needs our help!
So I am creating this fundraiser for Jacci, Jersey and Star. She does not have documentation on Jersey, yet, but I will vouch for her. She will get it, and we will upload it, when she has it.
