Hello, my name is Monica, and this fundraiser is to help my cat, Nacho, travel safely from Peru to Japan and reunite with our family.
Four years ago, I rescued Nacho while I was working at a recycling plant in Peru. He had been thrown away inside a garbage bag, and his siblings had already died. Nacho was barely breathing when I found him. I rushed him to the vet, and he spent three days hospitalized just to survive.
He was so tiny, fragile, and full of fight. Nacho is a survivor.
Today, he is healthy, loving, and incredibly sweet. He truly became my son and an emotional support in the most difficult moments of my life.
Unfortunately, the insecurity in Peru has become unbearable. Daily extortion, attacks, and violence have forced many families, including mine, to migrate. I had to move to Japan for our safety, and I’m currently back in Peru finishing paperwork to return — but I cannot leave Nacho behind.
He is family.
He was abandoned once, and I refuse to let him be abandoned again.
International pet travel from Peru to Japan is extremely expensive. The total cost includes veterinary exams, government export permits, airline fees, a travel crate, and the specialized pet relocation agency.
I am doing everything I can, but I cannot cover the full amount alone.
Any contribution — big or small — helps Nacho take this journey and stay with the only family he knows.
