I am deeply sad to let everyone know that Chris passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly this week.  In addition to my own profound grief, I struggle with what to say - not because there is so little - but because there is so much.  Even more outrageous is that everyone who knows Chris will know what I mean.  What can you say about a person who lived larger than life?  The stories are so numerous and all so wonderfully grand that they would fill the space of more than one lifetime, let alone just one book. 

Fundamentally, Chris lived large and lived with his whole heart.  He was always heart motivated and passionate.  He was always "All-In".  Someone close said it well with "Chris can handle anything".  He was the most remarkable and thoughtful man, always reaching out to give of himself wherever and however he could to help others.  It was such a privilege to be by his side and watch as he affected so many people in such positive ways.  It has been such a joy to know him and I am deeply grateful to have had him to laugh with, and had him to love with my whole-heart throughout my life.

I know every time I see a rainbow I will think of him.  He was forever pointing them out to me, having spotted them first.  I think one of his great strengths is that even when things were tough, he was always looking up. 

Chris knew and touched the lives of an incredible amount of people.  I hope everyone spends time remembering the fun times and laughter they shared with him.  Chris was always ready to go have fun, which often turned into grand adventures worthy of retelling.  I assembled a face-book memorial page where everyone can gather, https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=chris%20cantrell .  I am looking forward to visiting with everyone there soon, and I will be adding more pictures and content as I am able.
