Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, they have been actively involved in helping refugees, and preparing dry meals for Ukrainian soldiers. There are about 20 to 30 thousand refugees arriving by train to L’viv every day. The church members make sandwiches and hot tea, and distribute them to the refugees at the train station. They use their own cars and vans to transport the refugees to the shelters, and back to the train station, if they decide to continue on to Poland or other neighboring countries. The church members also prepare meals and snacks for the refugee shelters that house anywhere from 150 to 500 people. Most of those shelters rely on volunteer support and donations to be able to continue to operate.

Volodya and Tanya have transformed a family owned business into making dry meals for the Ukrainian army. So far, lots of vegetables that they use like potatoes, beets, onions, carrots have been donated by church members, neighbors and volunteers, but soon they will need to start buying those vegetables from other places to keep it going.

Volodya, Tanya and their church members have been using their own money to finance their relief efforts. However, their resources are running low, and they are asking for donations to help them pay for food for the refugees, to pay for gas to transport refugees, and to pay for electricity and vegetables to continue making dry meals for Ukrainian soldiers. If you are looking to donate to a ministry that is truly making a difference, then I would recommend donating to this church.

I am originally from Ukraine, born and raised in a small village about 40 miles from L’viv. My mom and my brothers, as well as a lot of my extended family are still in Ukraine. I am trying to do whatever I can to support Ukraine at this difficult time, so that the peace comes as quickly as possible.

Many of my friends here asked if they could help Ukraine financially, therefore I am setting up this campaign as a way of linking those who would like to support Ukraine, and those who are in need of that support in Ukraine. All funds raised will be directly transferred to Zhyttya (Life) Church in L’viv.
