My name is Josphat Mwalimo I am organising this fund raiser on behalf of my wife Annmarie Mwalimo who is the beneficiary and needs funds for medical and healing purposes after a horrible kidnap that left her unconscious.
In the wake of kidnapping cases in Kenya, it has been scary because I never thought or imagined even once would it come to my doorstep. On 5th of October, my wife Annmarie was kidnapped by 4 people (3 male and a woman) while from the bank. They stole from her a laptop which she uses to work remotely they stole all the money she had with her withdrawan almost 4000$ which she withdrew so that we can renew our medical cover which had expired, we also wanted to pay some rent arrears we had also but all went within a flash.

Apart from losing the material things, my wife was also beaten up almost to death, she was beaten with different objects on her neck, chest, abdomen( not forgetting she is 6months pregnant) she was tortured. The 3 men also wanted to rape her but fortunately they didn't manage we thank God for that. After a series of torture,they left her all by herself unconscious.

She later regained conscious and left the spot and was later helped by an old man to get home. She was admitted at one Royal Hospital on 5th October and later discharged on 6th October for a referral to another hospital. On 7th October we went to report the incident to the police and we were given a police obstruct which we still hold as investigations are ongoing.

The aim of this fundraiser is to raise funds for my wife so that she would seek medical attention as follows;

She needs various scans done eg. Obstetric scan ( she is 6-7months pregnant thereabout)
Chest scan and X-ray
ECG scan
Right hip as she was hit so badly can't walk well.
Abdominal scan as well.

She needs a physiotherapist who will be able to ensure her right leg gets back to normal and she can walk well again

She needs a psychologist because the incident keeps replaying in her head and mind and also because she is severely traumatised and diagnosed with severe depression.

Since we were not able to get a medical cover since funds were stolen, we need a medical cover as well which will cover her maternity soon.

Because of her condition i.e pregnancy she needs a caregiver who can take care of her from home while she is on bed rest this is because at some point last month she was bleeding which is dangerous.

Doctors have recommended that she needs extra care,extra mental and psychological support and also she needs check ups from time to time. All the above need funds.

I need your help backers, donors,supporters to save my wife. A quick one; in 2010 I lost my wife during child birth as a result of pregnancy related complications I wouldn't want history to repeat itself and that's why I need help as soon as possible to raise funds for my wife so that she gets treatment and able to get back to her feet again and put to bed safely with no complications and we welcome a bouncing baby.
