A Call To Humanitarian Action for Children in Kenya: VolunTour Opportunity

My name is Armstrong Ongera.

I'ma lifelong volunteer dedicated to changing lives, impacting humanity for children from disadvantaged families as well as orphaned and vulnerable children.

Since the year 2001, I have actively been in the front line of volunteerism mainly towards children and the poor in our society.

Kenya is a country of over 47 million people with majority living in absolute poverty in rural-urban slums.

I co-ounded an orphanage in 2007/8 that to date continue to support children some from my rural village and others from across Kenya.

Three prominent journalists from USA have covered my humanitarian work in their line of duty. Investigative journalist Robert Neuwirth of New York recorded me in his book, Shadow Cities: A Billion Squatters, A New Urban World. (You can read my story in the book which you can find in Amazon). Dr. Sheri Fink too, did a A documentary about my work Public Radio International /BBC USA in Boston, Massachusetts.

I've championed the rights of many children to have access to education scholarship and the communities to have access to clean drinking water.

As I look into the future, the many children I support and fight for every day, need the live and support of the world to have access to education, food, shelter, healthcare and security.

Therefore,I'm pleased to invite you to volunteer or get involved with Diani Beach Tunza Watoto Project to help build a school/orphanage and offer scholarship to orphaned and vulnerable children in Diani Beach, Kenya.

Tunza Watoto is a humanitarian mission dedicated to children from vulnerable and disadvantaged families.

We feed, shelter and offer scholarship for the children's education.

We have have partnered with a local school with good education standards to enroll the children. You're welcome to participate or sponsor the children from as little as 25 dollars per month per child.
