Introduction

Who is Sayafox?

You may already know me as Saya (@Sayathefox) ヾ(๑❛ ▿ ◠๑ )

I am a 19 year old Girl, who currently lives in Germany! I've been cosplaying since 2012 and since then I focus on the potrayal of characters through make up transformations, as well as acting and posing.

My goal is always a realistic result and to be as close to the original as possible. I model most of the costumes I am wearing, which basically means that I do not craft/sew them myself most of the time.

The reason why I am want to cosplay Aranea Highwind is, first of all, because Final Fantasy characters are entirely different to normal non-realistic characters, for example, anime characters because they have realistic faces – they are very pretty and almost flawless. It is a lot of fun to create the look of these type of characters and to try transforming your faces on to resemble their own through the help of make up!

Acting wise this character in particular is super attractive in her own charming way. She is always doing her own stuff, not caring about other's opinions on her and she is just a badass, I just really love to see those attributes in a character!

I have never modeled an armored costume in the past because of financial reasons and I was just never into that kind of cosplay in general, but Aranea, even though she is wearing heavy armor, still doesn't look bulky and very feminine with a lot of beautiful details.

Who is Dizzymonogatari?

Dizzy is a filipino photographer based in Italy. Currently he is specializing ins cosplay photography since over 5 years.

His passion for photography started back when he was still cosplaying with his friends. They always had a hard time finding photographers for their pictures. Having a humble digital camera he started to take pictures on conventions as well as photoshoots and it only started here.

He studied about photography and turned his hobby into a job and passion. Shooting with strobes is his style and wide angle shots and natural lights to tell stories about the scenery and the cosplayer.

Who is Skyvision Photograpy?

Skyvision Photography (Charlie) is a Chinese photographer based in the Netherlands with five years of experience in photography and cosplay photoshoots.

Charlie shot several series of cosplay photoshoots in China (Shanghai) and Europe (the Netherlands, Germany, France, Poland, Italy etc). His photos shine with bright colors and translate feelings into pictures but can also tackle more darker and mature cosplays with his style. He merges more Asian inspired styles with different western styles inspired by the likes of talented photographers like Shiro Ang Photography, Garam & Dall and Pugoffka.

Charlie loves to work with different cosplayers such as Sayafox and puts a heavy emphasis on the synergy between the cosplayer and photographer.

Why Crowdfunding?

First off, some followers asked me if they could support me via. Patreon, sadly, I am still completing my education and I have a part time job on the side. It would be difficult for me to keep up with any monthly rewards or organizing photo shootings. That is why I decided to raise this amount for one single big project and in return I can give you super cool rewards!

The second reason or rather, person who inspired me to do so is Kaddi Cosplay, who started a crowdfunding campaign prior! Without her I honestly wouldn’t have got the idea. She inspired me and I am glad I received her support as well for this campaign ♡ॢ₍⸍⸌̣ʷ̣̫⸍̣⸌₎

What will the money be spent for?

A big amount of the money will directly go in to making and material of the costume! Aranea Highwind has a very difficult and complex character design which includes a lot of crafting and expensive materials.

I always strive for the best quality that is why I WILL NOT build the costume myself. Instead I will commission a professional wig and costume creator from Russia under the name Wisperia. She also created my Lunafreya Nox Fleuret costume, and it is honestly one of the best, if not the best costume quality I have ever received.

Also the lenses! This may sound odd, since normal lenses cost around 20-30€, BUT – for this costume I decided to go for hand painted lenses. They look extremely real and I can choose almost every tiny little detail of the lens (diameter, base curve, color).

Because this is a Final Fantasy cosplay, I want it to looks as real as possible instead of giving the false ‘circle lenses’ effect and it greatly improves the quality and look of the costume by making it feel more realistic and professional.

And lastly, traveling fees, the location including the photographers! It is not easy to plan a huge project like this big, that is why I want to pay them as well for their work!

Dizzymonogatari and Skyvision Photograpy are some of the best photographers I know and deserve to be paid for their effort ଘ(੭ˊ꒳ˋ)੭✧. If there is leftover money from all the fees, I will definitely use it to attend conventions and meet you guys with the costume in person, as well as future cosplay Projects. If the goal is not completed in time I will use the raised money on another future Project!

Details of the Rewards!

This is something, I really want to put my heart into. These rewards will include my first ever prints as well as some other goodies that even include a Dakimakura and fansigns!

I want to give you something in return for supporting me and my cosplays. After the shooting, you will be able to choose what print or poster you would like to receive. Some of the higher reward tiers also include signed prints as well.

The rewards will be sent when the costume and photo shootings are finished. If everything goes as planned, the costume will be finished by August and the products and prints will be printed around September.

Please take note!

If the amount needed for the cosplay cannot be funded in time there will be a poll where you can vote for a different costume for the raised amount.

It will take time to arrange the photoshoot and set up a date where everyone involved in the project is available. We all live in different countries and have to find a fitting location as well.

There could be a slight delay with the shipping and production of the rewards, depending on your customs, where you live and how long the printing time will take!
