I am an Iraq Veteran that is committed to supporting Veterans seeking relevant education while transitioning from active duty or careers.  I have wriiten a functional guide with templates, guides and resources that supports Veterans in this process.  I believe that Veterans need to have organized and sufficient information to make informed choices when selecting collleges, degree programs and career goals.  

I currently mentor and coach several Veterans and their family members.

Requesting suppprt to provide hard copy materials, consisting of best practices, templates, guides and websites resource lists to Veterans and their families at no cost to them.  In addition, funds will be used to launch and maintain a website and blog.  While director of Veterans Upward Bound.

I have found that the most effective way to support Veterans transition is face to face and put materials in their hands.  The materials include: Time Tables with recommended lrad time of application for benefits.  How to avoid common pitfalls.  What benefits under GI Bill are best for each individual Veteran.  What degrees increase earning power.  Degrees that are ineffective when transitioning careers.

I am requesting $3,000 to print and put information I have learned and compiled directly into Veterans and their supporters hands. $500.00 to mail materials to Vocational Rehabilitation and VA Education Advisors at Universities, Colleges, Vocational Technical Schools.

I will go where Veterans are and hand them information.  I am now retired and travel extensively.
