My name is Paul Fong Foot Khiong , 44 years, Chinese. I was born in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia . I'm the founder and chairman of Kuching Dynamic community Association. The main objective of our association is to serve the community through charitable, social welfare, educational, arts and cultural activities etc.
Some of the main activities I organized during previous years were blood donation, fund raising for primary school, fund raising for flood victims, fund raising for fire victims, helping single parent and poor family to look for financial assistance, education talk, charity sales Chinese New Year carnival, mid autumn festival carnival, training program for youth development etc.
Early of this year, when I was having dinner with my mother, my mother told me sadly that 3 of my cousins( age 50, 54 and 60 ) diagnosed kidney failure and started kidney dialysis. I was shocked by this bad news. I pray for their speedy recovery but all of them still need to face a reality that they have to go through dialysis 3 times a week and each time will cost about 120 and each mouth it will cost 1500. Every year it cost 18,000. This is not a small amount but fortunately my cousins are able and can afford to pay for it.
But the BAD and SAD news is that I understand from friends and relatives around that there are many kidney failure patients out there are too poor and can't afford to pay the dialysis cost . They must start dialysis process immediately to survive and live longer. But they got no choice and have to wait for the financial assistance through fund raising campaigns which are usually run by charitable and non-profit organization.
in Sarawak, Malaysia, government servant or former government servant will get full subsidy from the government to bare all the dialysis cost . But NOT FOR THE NON-GOVERMENT SERVANT!
There are still many more dialysis patients who are NOT government servant and they can’t get any government subsidy for dialysis cost. If they are financially sound enough, this would not be a problem. But some of them come from poor family and they are now facing critical challenge .
After discussing with my committee members, we decided, as a start, to help 5 dialysis patients this year to raise fund to ensure that they can go for dialysis soonest possible. This is the main reason why I launch LOVE 5 CAMPAIGN here. I hope and pray that with your contribution, it make a difference and save more lives. Let’s share our love to these 5 patients and save their lives!

After graduating from the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities from National University of Malaysia, I started my career as a trainer cum life coach. My task is to help people achieve personal development and performance enhancement and I always believe that that every human being has unlimited potential.
During my free time especially after office hour and weekends, I spend my time in non-profit organization and participate in social welfare activities including charitable, educational, arts and cultural, peace movement etc. I have been actively participating in some non-governmental organizations since 1996.
In December, 2013, I founded Kuching Dynamic Community Association . I start to encourage young people to contribute to the society by participating in social welfare and charitable activities.
