Eva Rose hasn't added a story.
My daughter took her life two and a half months ago and that has caused me tremendous overwhelming feelings of sadness. She was in Atlanta, where it was very difficult to obtain any type of insurance. She also had a lot of sadness because of my disease and the loss of her father in an accident. She started drinking a lot of wine due to these losses. I learned that she had shared with an aunt in Vermont, that the doctor had told her that if she did not get a new liver, she would have less than two months to live. As a result, she took her life.
I returned to New England when I learned, after spending some time with my daughter in Atlanta, there was no medical help for someone in my condition. I have been in MA since May 2014, even though I do not have any family and limited connections here because of the medical care. In addition, I still wanted to stay on the East Coast to be closer to my daughter. However, since she has passed, my need to be on the East Coast, and MA, is not a priority any longer.
The reason I left California was due to the limited elderly housing available in 2002. However, I remained very connected to my friends in California and still keep in touch to this day. They have been my lifeline and support. In fact my bank account is still at Beverly Hills, beginning with Great Western in 1987.
I am hoping, with some help, I can relocate back to California. I hope to get some temporary housing in LA and I feel I would benefit greatly from being at the Beverly Hills rehab center on San Vicent Blvd, I am not certain how I can facilitate the move to California since my finances are strictly social security and only had some help when my daughter was alive.
So being so alone with no family now, I have been on the verge of wanting to join my daughter. However, returning to Los Angeles is my last hope, God willing.
