Heard Farm is owned by the Town of Wayland and managed by the Wayland Conservation Commission. The Farm consists of 85 acres of diverse land bordering the Sudbury River. There are several miles of maintained trails that are enjoyed by visitors both summer and winter. The Wayland Conservation Commission leases the open fields to a local farmer who cuts the grass twice a year to provide hay for his livestock. All other work including mowing and clearing of the trails, cultivating trees in the orchards, and general maintenance of the land is performed by volunteers.

These private individuals donate their time, energy and equipment to maintain the land and receive no financial support or reimbursement from the Town of Wayland. Your donations are needed to support these efforts.

Money raised will be used to cover fuel costs, equipment maintenance and supplies needed for the orchard. Please support The Friends of Heard Farm today.
