When my family took Evey into the vet with a fever and cough, we were expecting bronchitis, penumonia at the most. So we were surprised when the X-rays came back with fluid on the lungs where you could not even distinguish Evey's sweet heart. After spending the night in the animal hospital, the news came back that our fur angel had Lymphoma. This happened all a week before my daughter's 5th birthday.

Previously my daughter, Morgan, was afraid of dogs, but Evey is precious and hard not to love. Evey took Morgan as hers to protect from the moment they met, and Evey's favorite part of the day is going with me to pick Morgan up from school. After Morgan is in the car, she turns from the front seat so she can watch Morgan in her carseat. Morgan still doesn't quite grasp how sick Evey is.

If Evey responds to the chemo, Morgan will have 2 more years with the best dog in the world who loves her. Without it, 2-6 months. We're hoping our tax return will help cover expenses, but it's going to be quite a hit. I don't expect to get the whole amount, but anything that anyone feels inclined to contribute will help us float Evey's medical bills, and will be greatly appreciated.  Help us keep this sweet heart beating.
