We are asking for donations for Eric Pendergrass to help with medical bills, living expenses, and things he needs to remain comfortable at this time- It may come as a surprise to many that Eric Pendergrass has colon cancer and has been fighting it for the last five years.  Recently that fight has become VERY serious.  Eric is now receiving hospice care to make him as comfortable as possible and his wife Talitha has had to take leave from her job to care for him and their five children.  The Pendergrass family is very involved with the Interior Youth Basketball (IYB) programs here in Fairbanks as deticated coaches, fans, and parents.  Three of their five children are rostered to our IYB comp programs.  We have known them to be joyful, hardworking, involved, and supportive and they have NEVER broadcast the personal struggle they are going through.  We have been offering help for months and they have told us they were alright and would let us know when they really needed it and NOW they do.  We are also asking for prayer for a miracle.  Eric has beat cancer once before and we hope that he could do it again! 

We as a community and basketball family are here to instill life lessons in our youth, one of those lessons is that you are always there for a teammate.  If you would rather send a check than donate electronically you are welcome to send it to the Eric Pendergrass Cancer Relief Fund C/O Jim and Michelle Hajdukovich P.O. Box 61087 Fairbanks, Alaska 99706 and please make checks out to "Talitha Pendergrass".  We will make sure the family gets your gift.

Please be advised that baskeball has been a safe haven for them and their children.  It has been a place to escape the sickness and to be distracted and have fun.  We do not want to take that from them so please offer your help through prayer, meals, or a donation and through treating them as you always have.

I want to thank you in advance for your help and prayers, it is VERY much appreciated by the Pendergrass family.
