Abe Lopez was a great person and a friend to everyone that he met.  He is known by many as a "Legend" in Sanpete county Utah.  Abe was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grand father as well as friend.  He is know as being a jokster, and bringing a great energy to any room he stepped in.  Abe conceded to a Maor heart attack after fighting strong and battling heart problems for 20 years,  He left his wife Gloria just weeks before their 50th Anniversary, high school sweethearts, and life long friends.  This account is being set up to help Gloria with any financial assistance that she might need to pay for funeral services and get on her feet following services.  Any amount is greatly appreciated. 

His Obituary goes as follows: 

Today we mourn with heavy hearts a person that some have called a “legend” in Sanpete County. Joseph Abe Lopez 7/29/44-11/17/13. Born in Summit Ridge, Colorado to Frank and Juanita Lopez. On December 28, 1963 he married the love of his life Gloria Martinez. Abe had 5 brothers and 1 sister, and 6 children, Teresa and Marcos of Nephi, Jose and Robin of Nephi, Tammy and Stephen of Ephraim, Johnny and Heaven of Logan and Donny and Kammy of Ephraim. Abe loved to spend his spare time fishing, traveling, Yellowstone was his favorite place, drinking coffee with his friends and spending time with his wife and family. He is proceeded in death by his parents, beloved mother in law, beautiful daughter Elizabeth Ann Lopez and brothers Poncho and Victor Lopez, both of Summit Ridge Colorado. Abe had 22 grand-kids, 10 step grand-kids and 20 great grand-kids. A Rosary will be held Friday November 22, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W) in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. A Memorial services will be held Saturday November 23, 2013 at 12:00 noon with a visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Ephraim 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (420 N 200 W) in Ephraim.
