Why I’m seeeking office for the Michigan Houses 73rd district:
Thomas Jefferson said, “A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse.” I base my beliefs on God and the Constitution. God's laws are unquestionable. The Constitution gave most of the rights to the states and limited the national government’s power. It left no wiggle room when it came to the limits of the government’s rights. I believe in smaller government, limiting regulation and taxes on businesses. This will allow the free market system to work.
The issues of the economy, debt, and health care could be easily solved if there were more public servants in office and not self- serving politicians. Only by electing public servants with true moral fiber, not politicians who are only motivated by doing what will keep them in office, will we change the business-as-usual attitudes that are the main drive for policy decisions. That’s why little gets done for the people.
The reality is that to compete with politicians running this public sevant needs to raise about 50,000 to fund the everyday expenses of the campaign.
So when elected, and the political winds start to blow, and special interest groups come calling, my backbone won’t bend. I will work tirelessly in upholding the Constitution and in earning the votes of the 73rd district and humbly representing them as their next public servant.
I have been married to my wife, Andrea, for 15 years, and we have been blessed with four children.
I was born in the small town of Lambertville, Michigan. At an early age, my parents taught me the value of hard work, which included cutting wood year-round with my dad to heat our home and working summers in tomato fields to earn extra money.
Twelve days after I graduated from high school, I joined the U.S. Army where I served overseas honorably under Commander and Chief Ronald Reagan; in fact, he was the first president for whom I ever voted. After the army, I used my GI Bill to be the first in my family to earn a college degree.
For the last three decades, I have worked in the fine jewelry business, consistently earning top honors in sales and management.
In 2009, I started working with The Kent County GOP. From 2010-12, I ran for the Comstock Park Public School Board, I served as the Kent County campaign director of Peter Konetchy for U.S Senate, and I was also a precinct delegate and a voting member at the State Convention that helped usher in our first Republican governor, attorney general, and secretary of state in almost 100 years.
In the last presidential election cycle, I lived at the Kent County GOP Victory Center from July to November and was known as “Frank, the phone guy.” We set new records in Michigan for phone calls made during a presidential election cycle. Currently, I am a precinct delegate chair.
