Important note: When donating, make sure if possible to label your donation as "Pepi's Dog Refuge". Thank you!

Pepi's Dog Refuge is located in Pedrera, in the south of Spain and is run by Alan and Jane Brian, two wonderful people who have given everything they own to help the dogs in Spain.

Every year, thousand of dogs are killed and abused in Spain, particularly during and after the hunting seasons, where dogs who have hunted badly are "discarded", considered useless as they no longer bring the hunters any profit. Some of these dogs end up in refuges like Pepi's.

These refuges then take on the enourmous task of nursing all these dogs back to health and giving them the food, vetinary care and TLC they need. This, however, is far from easy, and costs them a lot of money.

Pepi's Refuge has gone through many hardships; every year, their house and kennels are invaded by mud and water from the floods; last year, someone poisoned some of their dogs; recently, their old generator broke down and they had to buy a new one. The refuge relies on donations to survive. On the 5th and 6th of april 2014, I will be doing a two day-long, 50km sponsored walk though the Belgian country side (maybe even through the snow :-) ), in the hope of raising some money to help Jane and Alan. Any donations, however small, will be more than welcome. Please help Pepi's Dog Refuge!
