To my Family and Friends, Where do I begin? My goodness, 2012 has been an exciting year thus far, and I have recently opened a chapter in my own book that makes for a promising second half. My parents Miguel and Erminia Juarez has lived this life for the past 10 years of outreah. I can see the amazing adventures and the growth for the love of Christ in Mulege. The next season of my life will be unlike anything I have ever done and I am so excited to tell you all about it! It is estimated that there are roughly 6.75 billion people in the world. Of that 6.75 billion, there are roughly 2.8 billion people that have never heard the name of Jesus. It is hard to believe that so many people in the world that have never even had the opportunity to hear the Gospel, the Truth, and the way to everlasting life. Mark 16:15 states “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’” I have recently been presented with the amazing opportunity to join with an organization called Joshua Campaign International’s Mission 1:11 boot camp. Their mission: “One chance for every person,” they believe that everyone should have the opportunity to hear about the Gospel of Jesus Christ at least one time. With Mission 1:11 I will partake in 3 months of intense training and missions work that begin on September 16, 2012. During the three months I will be spending 7 weeks state side in Bakersfield. In these seven weeks I will learn the skills and tools which are necessary to reach people that have never been exposed to the word of Christ. The last 6 weeks my team and I will be in Ethiopia applying these skills. The first part of our time in Ethiopia will be spent in the capital city of Addis Ababa taking part in crusades and mass evangelism outreaches, praying for the lost, sick and lame. The second part of our time in Ethiopia will be spent with the un-reached nomadic tribes; it is at this time that all our skills will truly be put to the test. Words do not describe how excited I am to be taking part in such an amazing adventure and I hope that you too share my excitement. There are a few ways that you can help me. The first and most importantly, I ask that you pray for unity and protection for my team and I, as well as those we hope to reach out to. Secondly; you can help out by giving financially. The cost for this trip is approximately $4000. I know that with this economy, it is difficult to stay on your own two feet financially and giving is especially difficult but I am asking that you partner with me to sow seeds in Ethiopia. If you are able to give you can make your check payable to Canyon Hills with “Mission 1:11- Gabriel Juarez” in the memo section for a tax deduction or to myself. I thank you so much for your prayers and for partnering with me in such a life changing experience. God Bless,“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”- Romans 10:14-15
