If you knew Jessica, you knew laughter. You knew her quick wit, her sarcastic sense of humor, and that she was never one to sugarcoat what she was thinking. She was an incredible storyteller who could capture an entire room’s attention, bringing people in with her humor, her passion, and the way she shared even the simplest moments of life. She wore her heart on her sleeve—you always knew when something brought her joy, and you always knew when she had something to say :)

 Jessica loved fiercely, laughed loudly, stood up for the people she cared about, and lived with a heart that was beautifully, unapologetically real.

Our family is heartbroken by the sudden loss of our beloved Jessica. Her passing has left all who knew and loved her in profound shock and grief. Jessica's loss is a heartbreaking reminder that even those who seem to be the brightest light in the lives of others may be carrying burdens we cannot see.

Jessica was a devoted wife, mother, new grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and special education champion whose love, compassion, and generosity touched countless lives. She had an incredible ability to make people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Whether she was making someone laugh, advocating for a child who needed someone in their corner, caring for her family, or spending time with her beloved animals, Jessica gave her whole heart to the things and people she loved.

Jessica's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her husband, Darek, and five children—two young adult children and three children at home, ages 11, 12, and 15.   She also was blessed with a new grandbaby last September!  While nothing can replace Jessica's love, our hope is to surround them with the support, care, and resources they need as they navigate life without her.

As we navigate this unimaginable loss, funds raised will help cover Jessica’s funeral and memorial expenses, and most importantly, counseling and therapy services for Darek, all five of her children, and close family members. We hope to provide the support and stability needed as they begin the long journey of healing.

Jessica was also deeply passionate about the special needs students at Simpson Elementary. This work became one of the great joys of her life, and she poured herself into these incredible children with patience, compassion, and love. To honor Jessica’s legacy, 10% of all funds raised through this fundraiser will be donated to support the special needs students at Simpson Elementary.
