Throughout the years, Coles County Dragway USA has been a place for friends and families to gather and do what they love.... DRAG RACE! CCD has long been a place where friendships are formed, hearts are broken, and champions are made. It is a piece of American history right here in the middle of Central Illinois.
Our little piece of American history needs help.
On 6/17/26, strong storms came through central Illinois and Coles County Dragway USA was hit by a tornado. What we know so far... the tower was hit, the tech booth and the ticket booth are both gone, and equipment is destroyed.
In 2019, our beloved racing community came together and raised the funds to resurface the track. I have no doubt we can raise enough money to repair and replace all of the damage that occured in the early evening hours of 6/17.
We have around 8,400 members in the Coles County Dragway USA Facebook group. If every one of those people were able to donate $10, that's $84,000. If everyone donated $20, that's a whopping $168,000.
