My Background and Family
I grew up knowing that I had to be strong. From the age of 14, I started working—first at local markets, then handing out flyers, and later as a cashier and waitress. I learned responsibility early, often through tears and exhaustion, but it made me who I am today.
My family was my entire world, my anchor, and my love. But the war took everything from me. My parents were killed when a rocket hit their home directly. It was the most terrifying moment of my life, losing the two people who supported me most. My brother went to fight, and for two years now, there has been no news of him. He is listed as missing in action. The pain of not knowing if he is alive or being able to say goodbye is a burden I carry every day. I am truly alone in this world now. Many of my friends are gone too—some killed, others fled and lost touch.
Life in the War Zone
Right now, I am living in a rented apartment because my original home was destroyed. It is not a life; it is survival. Since 2023, we have had no gas or heating. Electricity is a luxury that comes and goes because the power stations are constantly shelled. I drink water from the tap after boiling it, even though it isn't always safe. There are days when I can only afford to eat once every two days just to make my tiny savings last. I am telling you this not for pity, but so you understand the reality of my days.
My Profession and Dreams
I am a trained medical professional and worked for years as a nurse (RN equivalent). Later, I transitioned into the beauty industry, working with laser procedures and skincare. I loved helping women feel beautiful and confident. Unfortunately, the clinics where I worked are now ruins.
My dream is to work again, to be useful, and to create beauty. I am not looking for a handout; I am looking for a hand up. I already hold a valid US Visa (good until 2028), so my dream of reaching safety is not just a fantasy—it is a real possibility if I can just find the means to get there.
My Goal in the USA
In the United States, I want to rebuild my life from the ashes. I want to work in the medical or beauty field, contribute to society, and live in a place where the sound of a siren doesn't mean I have to run for my life. Knowing that there is a place for me and a chance for peace is what keeps me breathing.
