🌿 What is Arts Green Culture Factory?

Arts Green Culture Factory is a multifunctional cultural and ecological space in Farakoba, near Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. Founded in July 2020 by La Compagnie Tamadia, it brings together artistic creation, sustainable agriculture, cultural heritage preservation, and community engagement on a single 3.6-hectare site.

More than a farm or a research space, it is a living ecosystem where dance meets food, ritual meets research, and tradition meets innovation. We believe art and agriculture can work together to address today’s biggest challenges: climate change, food insecurity, cultural erosion, social exclusion and the rehabilitation of .

💬 Why We are Fundraising

In February 2024, a fire destroyed our irrigation system and borehole, threatening the core of our project. But with the support of the GET Consortium, TransEurope Halles (TEH) and our community, we rose again.

We:

• Rebuilt the irrigation system
• Produced 6,300 compressed earth bricks
• Began construction of our first artist residency house

Now the house is 90% complete—but we have run out of funds. The requested amount of $7,800 will allow us to finish this essential building and begin hosting artists, researchers, and healers from Burkina Faso and around the world.

✅ 32,000 pineapple plants in the ground
✅ 500+ tangerine trees planted
✅ Eco-designed artist residency house 90% built
✅ Borehole and irrigation system reinstalled
✅ Hosted over 50 artists in residence for FESPACO 2025
✅ Organized annual In-Out Dance and World Arts Festival
✅ Held healing rituals with the Dozo brotherhood
✅ Ongoing art-agriculture workshops with youth and elders.
