Hi everyone my name is Crystal I am writing this as a plea for assistance. I am not really sure how to do this or even what to say, it's not what I would have thought my life or my husbands life would have turned out like in our early to mid 50's.
In 2012 I was diagnosed with one of the more aggressive forms of Multiple Scoliosis which has not only made me nearly disabled but has effected my thinking and memory. This hit us after my husband Larry was diagnosed with PTSD and Depression as well as fibromyalgia a few year's ago. Since then everything has been on his shoulder's with little help. Although we have medical there are many thing's not covered like physiotherapy and mobility aids, even treatment for my husband's issue's are out of reach.
At this point my main concern and fear is for Larry who is not only trying to sell everything he owns but is looking at getting a part time job just to get us caught up. That is terrifying to me as he work's full time, takes care of me and the house and everything else. I am worried I may lose him, as he is already burnt out. He has tried to do a fundraiser before and even though he put it up on the media site's we belong to it failed. He is such a caring person and to see him constantly getting knocked down and feeling like a failure is so hard when I know I can't do anything to really help.
We have tried to get a loan and help but due to a few bad decisions
in our past we are unable to get a loan and have exhausted everything
we had. Even moving is not really an option as rent is expensive in
this city and we couldn't afford to move anyway. Unfortunitly on paper
we make to much to get any Government aid as he looked into all of
this already we can't even get help from either of our families as
well. I know If we get rid of the outstanding debts and secure the
treatments and additional aids it would be a great help.
We are very scared at the moment as we are now even behind on
our rent as well as other thing's, which is making his depression even
worse. I wish I were not disabled so I could work and not feel like a
useless burden. We have gone through a lot in our 26 year's together
and I am so worried for him.
I appreciate everyone taking the time to read this, and sorry for it being so long, it takes a lot for me and him to as for help. We do appreciate any help or even just share if you can't.
