My name is Chrissy, I am mom of two and hairstylist in a small town in PA. Responsible, hard working....always was able to support my kids and did pretty well.

I got involved with a master manipulator & abuser 5 years ago. He came on strong and very sweet and romantic. Swept me off my feet, got involved with my kids and things seemed to be going great. Six months in to the relationship, he started showing signs of unstableness and untrustworthiness, that forced me to break it off. He harassed & stalked me for months until I grew exhausted and gave in, just to have some peace. He again, started off great only to get abusive again. I broke it off with him several times, over 3 years, seeing that he had some sort of mental disorder, and caused me & my kids great deals of stress. 

But as always, his harassing and stalking nonstop, vandalizing my cars, breaking into my home, etc...became relentless. I have several police reports on him but he always left the scene before they arrived. The last time, he left a note on my car saying  he desparately had to speak to me, that he was having major health issues. So I met with him, and he proceeded to tell me his heart disease, he claimed to have had our whole relationship, had got worse and he was given a year to live. Our whole relationship revolved around this heart condition, it was his claim to not being able to work, and sponge off me. 

This last time, he had dropped 20-30 lbs, looked run down, so I thought it was possible, but I wasn`t convinced. I was of course apprehensive, but told him I would go with him for a second opinion. I didn`t want him back, he already drained my bank account leaving me stuck with all the bills, after he moved in with me and stopped working. But since I`m a nice person, and he said he was dying, I would at least go to dr appts with him. So I scheduled an appt at a cardiologist. In the meantime, he played up the dying lie, and was on his best behavior....for a little while.

My savings he depleted, was from a settlement I received from an accident that killed my father in 2014. The money was going to buy me & my kids a home, and help me launch a salon that I always wanted. But instead, this creep took it all from me.

After 2 months of him feeding into me about how he`s ready to die, he feels like he`s going to fall over, he loves me & wanted to pay me back, etc, he told me he would get money for me for my salon since he spent all mine. He wanted to do right by me before he died. He asked his mother to borrow money, told me he would ay her back. 

Behind my back, he told her she would be investing in my business & be my partner. They sprung that on me 3 weeks after I purchased an established salon, when my ex tried to force me to pay him off the books. He  was dealing in my salon after hours, accused one of my stylists of stealing, and basically just completely sabotaged my whole business, like a child throwing an insane tantrum.  He stole a whole days worth of earnings and said his mom said he could he pocket the money. And that they wrapped me up in scam, and if I didn`t go along with it, they would sue me and destroy my life.

This is when their scam unfolded in front of me, he was never sick, never dying and had no intentions on paying his mother back. He got me wrapped up in a horrendous situation, after I left my secure job I had for 15 years. I took a huge pay cut to start my own business, plus I was still trying to support everyone.

He and his mother threatened me repeatedly to allow her to be my partner or they would file a lawsuit against me. Which they did, because I refused to go along with their evil scam.

They repeatedly threatened me, and said they were going to get a default judgement against me & take my home, my car, and everything I own. I still didn`t back down, but offered to pay the loan off right then, even though we agreed on a two year repayment plan.

They said, to pay off the loan immediately or turn over the keys to the business. I offered both, but they responded 5 weeks later, with a larger amount of money then the loan, or they were filing the lawsuit.

I refused, so  they sued me. Saying I was in breach of a partnership contract, even though one never existed. They created an insane story, hired a lawyer, and went on attack even more. Accusing me of everything under the sun, that I had to bend over backwards to prove were all lies and also spend money I did not have.

I finally said, again, take the business, I am done. They agreed to settle and take over my business. Negotiations were ridiculous, they fought me for every little thing. I gave in to everything, just again, to end it.

I had to cancel all my accounts, get the leasing company to agree to release me & give them the lease, and also find new employment.

In the meantime, I had to sell my home and use the proceeds to hire an attorney. I could barely pay my bills at this point. My daughter moved in with her father because she was scared of my ex and what he was doing to us. My son has a chronic illness, and stress makes him worse, so he moved out as well.

I had 2 months to close my business, and find a new place to go. Two weeks before they were to take over, they threw in 5 mile radius, no complete clause in the settlement, kicking me out of the area I worked in for 32 years.

I could not find a salon hiring in an area close enough to my home but out of the radius. I had two weeks before I had no income at all. So I found a small rental space, that was a salon at one point,  but needed a renovation. Thankfully I still had good credit and was able to rent it, finance flooring, equipment, and products. I worked 14 hour days for 5 weeks to get this place ready. But two days before they were to take over, they found out about my new salon, dropped the settlement agreement, made all kinds of lies up as to why they had to drop it, only to continue to the lawsuit to sue me and attack me even more for another year.

So I opened my salon January 2018, they continued the  lawsuit harassment for another year, until we went to trial. I have no money, I borrowed from my sister and a friend for lawyer fees. I couldn`t back out at all. The trial lasted two days. He was no where to be found, he left it all on his mother to handle.

The judge agreed there was never a partnership, so I did nothing wrong and did not breach anything. They had NO right to sue me and ruin my life and my business.

But the judge fell for their lies about why they bailed on the settlement, and ordered a judgement against me for the loan!

Had they not sued me, she would have been paid off in a year. But since they drained my savings, forced me to hire an attorney for two years, after I took a huge pay cut and could barely make ends meet. They get awarded for their behavior??

Their goal is to destroy my new business. His goal is destroy me.

I need help, my business is hanging on, but I lost so many clients through all this drama, I have to rebuild which takes a few years. I have $15,000 in lawyer debt.

We filed a motion for relief, which I am still waiting to hear about. If the judgement sticks, she was awarded $43,000. The loan was $38,000 which I paid back over $5,000 before they ruined my business. They rest of the judgement was half my income I earned, even though the judge agreed she was not my partner!
