Sweet baby Opal came to us from our local shelter as a stray in horrifying condition. At just 3 years old she is severely emaciated, riddled with parasites, heartworms, dangerously anemic, and she's also in kidney failure. She was clearly used a breeding dog who was thrown to the street once too sick to produce puppies. Despite every way her humans have failed her in the past she is wants nothing more than love.

She is happy, playful, and full of kisses. We have made a promise to her that as long as she wants to fight, we will fight for her. 

We have started aggressive treatment for her many ailments. Unfortunately this requires around the clock iv fluids, medical care, 10+ daily medications, special food, and lots of bloodwork, and testing. There is no quick fix for her plethora of problems and her treatment is quickly becoming expensive and will continue for quite some time. 

In the short time we've  had her she has slowly started showing signs of improvement. She is slowly becoming more than a walking skeleton as she has started to play and wrestle just like a puppy should!
