My name is Michelle, I am the wife of the most amazing Christian man I've ever known, Mike. Mike and I met five years ago. We knew on the first night that all the wrong turns in life had been a winding road leading us to each other. We were married on May 31,2019.
Mike is the love of my life.
Last week on February 19,2019 Mike felt ill. He met me at Jackson Madison County General Hospital ER. He was immediately surrounded by several doctors. We both knew this was serious.
Mike was diagnosed with having Coronary Artery Disease and Chronic Heart Failure. It was determined that he suffered a major Heart Attack within the last 6 months or so. He received a stent in his coronary artery that was 80% blocked. He has 3 more arteries that are 60% blocked. Mike's heart is only pumping at 35%.
Mike is 39.
He is my soulmate, my amazing husband and my best friend.
Mike is unable to work for the next 3-6 months & then it depends on tests what happens next. I was working part time(commission based) but took at least a month off to care for Mike. (Mike will be getting about 1/4 of his normal income for apprx. 3 months. This will go towards copays, his medications(he has 7)& other medical expenses), we have no idea yet how much out of pocket we will pay but it's at least 20%. We need financial help to survive and for Mike to thrive&heal... Please.
Our basic bills total approximately $1700 per month. That is without food, gas or normal necessities. Our grocery bill is higher than normal as we adjust to a no salt, no fat heart healthy diet. Mike has at least three trips per week to Jackson(45 minutes one way) for Cardiac Rehab plus visits to his Cardiologist Dr. Nwokolo. And if at all possible, I need to find a better place for us to live that is healthier and closer to the Cardiac Center for Mike(within 20 miles of Jackson but not in town, a rural, peaceful, stress-free setting).
