We're do I start. My name is sarah with 4 beautiful children. All my life I had a very close relationship with my Nan who's name is Doris skinner. My Nan was a very outgoing straight forward talking kinda person who had a heart of gold but who would always moan about anything. My Nan would always say to me stop doing this stop doing that I used to share a bedroom with her and one night she would not stop snoring and talking in her sleep I would prod her but she didn't stop so I called the house phone so she would get up answer it then she would stay awake so I could go asleep i will never forget that night. The middle of last year my Nan was very unwell and her doctor sent her to have an xray  on her chest and it came back she had a shadow on her lung which turned out to be cancer as my Nan was a very unwell lady who's health was not on the grate side (large lady) the hospital said my Nan would not survive cemo her body would give up and her age was against her at the time 83. The hospital informed up all they could do was every 3 months do an X-ray to see how big the cancer was getting or spreading. After the third X-ray they confirmed it had covered the hold left side of her lung and it had turned to an aggressive cancer which they told us my Nan would not have long to live. This all happens only the middle of last year my Nan came to live with me I took care of her I didn't ask for  carers to come and wash Nan as she didn't like anyone else to see her so I did all the washing of my Nan in bed as towards the end she was bed bound I would feed her the little custard pots she loved with in the space of 4 weeks every day Nan turned for the worse. First stage she could not walk second stage she couldn't eat third stage she couldn't talk until she keeped forgetting who I was or what my name was it was heart breaking. The doctor came to see her last Wednesday and told me my Nan only had days left then on the Tuesday the nurse told me only hours left to live then I was left with one hour of my nans life with me until she last away in my arms. My Nan had no life insurance no funerial plan in place. Iv never had to deal with someone so close to my heart pass away or to have to arrange a funerial until today. Iv been on the phone all day to find out what I have to do and iv found out I need to pay a deposit to a funerial directors befor they will help me put a plan in place to lay my Nan to rest iv called DWP who have informed me they only give up to £700 but for a standerd funerial I'm looking at about £7000 but need to put a £4000 deposit down iv no family to rely on for help iv asked and always get the same reply. Iv 4 young children of my own so money is very tight but without a fight I want to give my name something she  deserves. I'm not looking for nothing fancy or  extravagant  just something I can give her back for all the love and care she has gave me through my life. Iv never asked for help before and I'm finding this hard to ask now but iv no options and I don't want to feel iv faild my Nan. I see my Nan today and it's not right that I can see her in a coffin in comfort instead on a table still in her nightdress she left me in as the funerial directors can't touch my Nan until they have a deposit to start of her funerial. My heart hurts and sole in pain please please please I'm asking for help if anyone can donate anything they can towards the cost of my beautiful nans funerial to lay her at rest.
