URGENT URGENT!! This poor boy will not make it through tomorrow unless we have support! He will most likely need extensive vet care due to his leg injury, eye issues, and URI!

Please read the story from our volunteer who went in to see the kitties today ....
"I was at FCAC tonight...pitiful kitty there with massive eye infection and URI and left front leg that was totally useless....floppy like a wet noodle. Got Benny (board member of the Rome Floyd Humane Society) to convince them to give an antibiotic shot and I waited till 6 to make sure it was done bc at 5:30 when Benny talked to AC worker, another officer hastily said he wasn't going to do it right now but would before he left....so I waited.

Both of them took the kitty into the puppy room and shut the door so I couldn't witness it but I do have another civilian and her child that were standing there with me.

Benny said they had room for this kitty so I was ready to go ahead and pay the adoption fee just to get him out, but he had no collar or I.D. tag and was brought in yesterday, so his hold time isn't up yet. I was so ready to walk out with him. My question is if he just came in yesterday why did it take me and a call from Bennie to get the fella some antibiotics? It wasn't until I put him down on the photo table that I noticed the bad leg. I called Benny back and he assured me we would check on him Thurs morning. Mr Clonts SAID they would have a vet look at him tomorrow but that doesn't hold much water with me. Good news is that there were only 3 cats there. One was pregnant and the other was supposed to be taken by a rescue but they backed out when they noticed he was older and needed some dental work, or so they said. He also has some nasty diarrhea and his feet were matted with feces and litter."
