I am going on a medical mission to Laredo, TX and I need your help.  The missionary fee is $900 and I am asking you to consider sponsoring me so I can serve the people of Laredo. The mission is a week long and I have donated my vacation time to do this.  I also donated an additional 2 days of vacation time earlier this month so I could attend training with an optometrist.

I am going with The Medical Missionaries of Divine Mercy in November.  We are going to Laredo to help those in need.  We also have outreach missions to Zapata, TX and to El Cenizo, TX.  My mission group provides medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, physical therapy and spiritual services.

This is my second year going on this mission.  I work in the vision clinic performing glaucoma screenings.  Last year I was able to screen over 250 patients and provide referrals for those who were at risk of having glaucoma.  I screened individuals using the tonometer which is probably a machine you are familiar with.  It is the machine that blows a puff of air in your eye to check the pressure in your eye.  I get lots of giggles and jumps when the test is performed.  Last year I laughed with many of my patients, cried with a few of them, and prayed for all of them.

Please consider donating.  You can click the donate button to donate on-line.  If you would prefer to send a check you can mail that to me at 6606 Harbourside Ln, Missouri City, TX 77459.  Please make out checks directly to me since I have already paid the balance of the missionary fees myself.

Thank you for considering sponsoring me,

Bob
