Me and my partner took Geisha in off the streets of Marmaris, Turkey when she was just 6 weeks old. She had fleas and worms and was in a very bad way. She was very placid and shy, and VERY smelly!!! We nursed her back to health and gave her a loving home. She is the sweetest dog, full of character and love, everyone who meets her falls in love with her. We decided on the name Geisha, as she squints in the sunlight and it makes her look chinese. It has not been an easy ride as a lot of apartments in Turkey do not allow dogs, this has resulted in us moving 4 times in the last year in order to keep Geisha. It would have been easy for us to get rid of her but it was not an option as she is a big part of our family. We have had her just under 3 years now, however my partner has to go to the army soon to do his national service and we do not want Geisha to end up back on the streets as rehoming an animal in Turkey is near impossible as there as so many on the streets already and in the dogs home. I would like to bring Geisha back to the UK so she can live with me, I am a full time student nurse and do not have much time for a part time job, therefore funds are really tight. We have already began the process of bringing her to the UK. I have sold bits online and raised money by doing car boot sales etc and Geisha has had the relevant injections (including rabies) , a microchip implanted and blood test. These things all need doing before she can leave Turkey and have cost us around £200 so far. We now have a 3 month wait for the blood test to come back, in this time i am trying to raise the money to get her here. She will travel by road in a specially adapted van which will be a lot less stressful than flying, she will also get regular stop offs for walks, toilet etc. The cost is not cheap, but i cannot bear for her to be on the streets of Marmaris as she would not survive. Please help me to help Geisha. Any amount you can donate no matter how small is so very much appreciated.
