I am an indie author who has one published book, which was an autobiography.  It was not done professionally as I just did not have the money to do so, which is why I am revising it.  All that time writing my first book had opened up my interest in writing.  I have then strayed from an autobiography and have gone on to write what I have wanted to before, which is fiction suspense horror and sci-fi/action.  While I wish I had started these before my first published book, I have no regrets.  I simply want the next two books and the revise of my published book to be done professionally.  I have grown some as a writer which is good, but to fund covers, editors and such, I just can't afford.  For instance, the covers of my three books you see I have to pay for which is why they have the 'white bars giong through them'.  I found an amazing site that is affordable, but each design ranges from the lowest of 69.99 and higher, with one of mine being at 99.99 (We, R).  Editor for a low base end, but qualified is going to be at a lowest 150.00 if you can talk them down some.  Might be able to find an editor a bit more cost efficient, but from what I have researched, is that editing a book is one of the most important factors, the next being a book cover as 40% of readers 'actually judge a book by it's cover'. I am just ready to have the books done with Blissful being revised.  I have spent a lot of time on these books and enjoy the writing.  Stanley Swanson - Breed of a Werewolf should easily be ready for release if I have the editor/book cover in place by the end of June 2014, while 'We, R' I have projected to be ready for release in the middle of next year and please keep in mind this book is being worked on in partner with another indie author in E.A. Moore.  Bottom line, I am a happily married man with 4 kids, work a decent job but child support for another 3 kids I have has hindered much for myself and family (yeah, it's in the book of Blissful).  I have found that writing is a good release for me and I just want to make sure that what I put down is done correctly.  Sometimes in life you don't get second chances, so I learned that from the original book that is published.  I don't have the money to hire an actual publisher as they are extremely expensive which is why I wouldn't try to ask for funds for that cause.  I believe in what I write and if everything works out with covers, editors etc, then I know I can make these books (even the revise of Blissful) enjoyable and doing as self-published as I did with my first book.
