I'm collecting donations for school supplies for the local Catholic grade school in Obuasi, Ghana and need your help.

During my last trip, I was surprised at how clean and disciplined the school children were in such a poor area. I found out that despite their poor conditions, the community has a high level of self-respect and values education. It’s very cute to see the small schoolchildren walk to school every morning in their clean uniforms with books in tow, excited to learn and better themselves.

Like all schools in the region, new school supplies are desperately needed. A work colleague at our local mine has children that attend St. Philips Catholic International School. After talking to the Headmistress, Madam Agnes Quarm, I learned that the children need library books, Crayons, and small dry-erase marker boards that they use to learn how to write.

I am collecting a number of these items for delivery to my next trip to Ghana on November 11th and wondered if you would like to contribute to this cause. I thought it might be nice to give a tangible gift to an actual school and see the results, as opposed to the many generic yet worthy organizations out there.

Won’t you help us? I will pick up and deliver the supplies; all we need is a small donation. Please use this PayPal feature to make your donation today. I will post photos of the delivery and thankful children. Thank you.
