Austin King left this life at the age of 22 as a result of a heroin overdose on 2/12/2005, while going through recovery. Founded in 2006, Austin’s mother began the journey to reach out to children at the Dallas Life Shelter who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances by providing them with Hope & Love. Due to the overwhelming response by the community, Austin’s Hope has been able to reach not only to the children, but to provide for all of the adults as well. It is through the generous donations of friends and family in his memory, Austin’s Hope is able to provide a day for this community to feel special and let each person know that people care about them.  Providing hope that they continue to move forward in their recovery. We have served over 2500 meals, and have given gift bags to all that join us at the party.  Last year alone in one day we served over 400 People dinner, they received gifts and the women all received flowers.  Crafts for the children along with stuffed animals and goody bags!  May this continue in Austin’s Memory for many years to come.~In Memory of Austin King September 8, 1983 – February 12, 2005  God bless you and your families!
