My name is Andrew. I live in Kazakhstan, and writing this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I was raised to try to solve problems on my own, but today I’m asking for help because I simply cannot do this alone anymore.

My mother was born with a disability. Her entire life she has had to fight just to live normally. Over the years our family has spent everything we had on medical care and prosthetics so she could walk and live with dignity. We never regretted helping her, but the cost of those treatments slowly pushed our family into deep debt.

Recently our situation became even more difficult. My father suffered a heart attack. He survived, but his health has never been the same. The medical bills from his treatment added even more pressure on our family.

For years we tried to manage everything ourselves — working, borrowing, paying little by little — but the total debt has now reached $183,400. For our family, this amount feels impossible.

I am doing everything I can to help my parents and support our family, but I’ve reached a point where I truly need help from others.

I’m not asking for luxury or an easy life. I’m only asking for help so my parents can live without constant fear, stress, and debt hanging over them.
