My name is Patrouious Achatz, and I reside in Columbus, OH. On March 10th, 2025, I was thrilled to receive a job offer as a Behavioral Technician, providing better pay and more favorable hours than my previous role as a Special Education Paraprofessional. I used my last paycheck to settle my electric bill that was overdue , bus passes, and other payments that needed to be made.

I commenced my new position as a Behavioral Technician on March 24th, 2025, and I am actively working to fulfill the requirements to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). My responsibilities encompass delivering services to children on the Autism Spectrum, preparing them for school readiness, and addressing challenging behaviors such as physical aggression and elopement. 

This is my first job with a semi-monthly pay schedule on the 1st and 15th of each month. Since I began my employment near the end of the pay period, my initial hours were limited. I have notified my apartment complex that my rent payment will be late, and I am concerned that my forthcoming paycheck may not be sufficient to cover it, alongside my income tax filing and another electric bill.

Once I successfully pass the RBT exam and receive a salary increase, I will be able to meet my rent obligations promptly. I am seeking to raise the necessary funds by the 15th to meet my $1,048 rent payment, which includes a fine for not providing proof of rental insurance, as well as utilities. My fundraising goal is $1,200 to accommodate potential late fees and percentages charged by the crowdfunding platform. Thank you for your support during this significant transition in my life.
