After 3 years of music evolution and development we are back with something new and unique. Somehow, in the usual unpredictable way, where interest, influence and inspiration come together, a new sound has developed. A kind of funky, disco, blues fusiony thing... which we can’t quite pinpoint when we found it but it emerged somehow in the times when music tastes fused, a room full of overstimulated people needed to dance, and just time spent mucking around on our instruments... We've found something really cool.

We almost have the music ready to release.

We're recording it in our home, which is a wicked studio located in Boonah. The recording style is live rhythm sections and overdubbed lead sections - this gives the music a really cool mix of real live energy where it hits the chest, and then careful and thoughtful flavours on top to make it worth at least a few listens.

So, to support this new sound and get this music out there we’re running this cool giveaway fundraiser in the hope that we can get some support to bring this all together. Once we have everything ready to go we will need to get the tracks mixed, and mastered for release. For context, i t costs between $400-1000 to mix and master one song, and we'd like to get 5 or so out.

In order to make sure you also get something for your incredible support, we've decided that every donation of $10 or more will include tickets into the Silk ’N’ Oak house concert giveaway. The prize is a FREE 2 hour, full scale, Silk ’N’ Oak gig at a private venue of your choice (Terms and conditions below).
