Hi, I'm S. Graham. I wrote freelance full-time until the pandemic burnt through all my resources and contacts; on top of that, my dwindling health due to an undiagnosed chronic illness and Long Covid only hindered my ability to work further.
My living situation is terrible, and I've been hoping to move but unable to create the savings to achieve that goal. I was injured due to a fall. During a disagreement, a fellow household member intentionally reinjured my healing foot. When I tried to confront them, the rest of the fellow inhabitants turned on me and claimed I could move out if I didn't like being harmed—not caring about the pain and injury placed upon me. I feel more unsafe than ever.
Working a regular 9-5 is impossible for me. Even taking the COVID vaccine had severe side effects that left me near incapacitated for days. I have bills to pay, groceries to buy, and medication to purchase. Nobody helps me with these, and I'm nearly broke due to illness.
The funds for this fundraiser will go towards:
*Renting an apartment or staying at a motel after I move out
*Buying groceries and necessities
*Purchasing medication
Without help, I'm likely to end up homeless as I can't stay in this situation. I'm already near bedridden, and it's hard for me to travel since I mainly have to risk public transportation. I come home feeling sick anytime I leave the house. This fundraiser is my only lifeline.
