Hello everyone.
As you know this last year and a half, I've
documented my mental health and weight loss journey. I have finally
reached my goal and have never been more content and happy within my
own being!
Successfully, I have been able to shed OVER half of my body
mass. That's an incredible feat and I'm so thankful for all the
support to keep up the motivation.
That being said, with an enormous weight loss journey comes the
unfortunate truths of all the extra skin and breast detachment issues.
I'd like to take a proactive, surgical step to remove and fix that.
Which I will need a little bit of help from all of you, if possible.
Please note, I do not want to have any procedures to alter my
appearance for vanity reasons, but because I feel such discomfort with
the extra weight of the skin, from something that no longer belongs to
me. I made peace and gave love to my former self, but now I'm still
carrying the weight of her and her, herself in a very physical way
that I'm reminded of every day.
Aside from that, I also have struggled now with severe breast detachment which causes physical discomfort and sometimes pain.
As well as the extra skin around my stomach area, which now is prone to ugly skin infections (that also smell if not in check), no matter how much I keep up cleaning my self. It makes me feel very gross and unsanitary. Plus, it hurts my mental health knowing that the person I worked on healing from, is still causing me the same self-doubt and insecure feelings...just in a new light.
Insurance is hard to convince a case that these types of cosmetic
procedures are not just for vanity reasons to help cover the surgery
costs. So please, if you can spare anything, help me start chipping
away at this final step of the health journey so I can fully embrace
the next chapter of life.
