Our friend Pat is a long-time New York City social justice activist – since junior high school. Pat is also blind and currently in her 70s. She’s been active with WBAI and has helped with many causes for justice over the years, including numerous international solidarity movements.
Unfortunately, it’s been discovered that Pat’s apartment is infested with bed bugs! The exterminator says it’s the worst infestation he’s ever seen, and the bed bugs were eating her alive! Pat has been forced to leave her home and give up her beloved cat, Elton.
She has NO funds to deal with this sudden crisis.
Her building, the Associated Blind HDFC in Manhattan, will pay for the fumigation, but not the prep. The estimated total cost for the prep is upwards of $2,250.00.
Pat urgently needs our help to deal with this problem, and get her safely back into her home, so she can resume her crucial work.
Pat has nowhere else to go. She is counting on all of us to help out in this unexpected crisis.
