Nicole Leonhardt, Pastor’s wife, Worship Leader, Women’s Ministry Leader, God Lover, Gardner, and most importantly, Mom. Recently, doctors have given her a short amount of time to win the fight against cancer. Now we know, “A thief comes to steal, kill and to destroy, but Christ has come so that we will have life and life abundant.”(John 10:10) But the reality is that cancer not only attacks the body, but also attacks the mind, the family, and the finances. We are believing in God that he will provide $100,000 through this fundraiser and his faithful people. Our faith is in the word that only he knows the plans he has for us, plans to prosper us, not to harm us, and to give us hope toward the future. (Jeremiah 29:11) To support her in this battle, her daughters moved all the way from Northern California to take care of their mom. Bethany, 30, Hannah 28, Ariel 24, and the youngest is Gabby who is 17. They all compare their mother to a Proverbs 31 woman. “Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised.” When Nicole isn’t playing the piano for the worship band at their church, Hastings Assembly of God in Hastings, MI. She is making sure that the church grounds are well-groomed and the garden is inviting. Nicole spends a lot of time ministering to others and studying the word of God. We are believing in a miracle, for not just Nicole’s medical status, but through this fundraiser a financial miracle, to help the family with medical and living expenses while they go through this battle. Jesus told us in the book of Mark, “Do not be afraid, only believe.” So we are believing that God will send us the resources to take care of this family, as well as believing in healing of the body and mind.
God is leading people to help, and through this, we will share the testimony of faith that God is our provider as well as our healer. Please stand and help this family win this battle. “But my God shall supply all things according to HIS riches in glory.” (Philippians 4:19)
