On New Year's Eve, the Minneapolis Police swarmed, kettled, and arrested a group of people demonstrating against the racism and brutality of the same police department arresting them. The Hennepin County Attorney's Office, a long time enabler and defender of police misconduct, is now prosecuting five people on felony riot charges without any evidence. Jordan Abhold is one of those people, who was at the demonstration serving as a medic. He is now facing felony charges in a case designed to repress political activity and prosecute free assembly to demand social change.

Besides volunteering as an EMT with a community health organization, Jordan is an MPH candidate at the University of Minnesota, public health research assistant, founding member of Freedom Street Health, and the director of strategy and research at TransChance Health. Jordan is passionate about community healthcare, especially fostering environments that de-stigmatize illness and connect folks to help and resources. Jordan is an exceptionally kind and principled individual with an infectious can-do attitude.

Jordan currently needs to raise $6000 to cover his legal fees through the evidentiary hearing and trial. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Jordan's counsel to fund his defense. Please consider supporting Jordan, who unwaveringly supports the many communities and individuals who are lucky to know him.
