Dear friends and family,

This year will be an exciting one for me, and I would like to fill you in on my birthday wish a few months early.

The past few years have been such a rollercoaster for me. In those years I have had the small inkling in my heart to participate in missions but there were not any I had heard of that set my soul on fire. However, I was able to meet an incredible group of people in the last 4 months that may have drastically changed the course of my life for the best. I believe God is leading me to an opportunity to serve people around the world – specifically in Cambodia AND Haiti on two separate short-term mission trips. That’s why I’m writing…I’d love for you to be a financial and prayer partner on these missions with me.

For the past few weeks and months, I have been thinking and praying (a little extra than normal) about going on a medical mission trip to Cambodia or Haiti with Houston’s First Baptist Church. I believe this is a new step that God is asking me to make. I am excited for all that I will learn in the months leading up to the trips, during the trips, and after I return home. I believe God is going to “do a good work in me” as a result of this incredible opportunity.

Houston’s First Baptist Church is traveling with a medical mission’s team in May, to our destination: Cambodia. There is also a young lady whom I met in January and shared with me all about the great work and health care she is overseeing in Haiti through Mission of Hope, and I will be joining her in September. Both, Houston’s First and Mission of Hope-Haiti, have worked with local churches in Cambodia and Haiti respectively, developed relationships and gained acceptance among the community there. I am excited for the opportunity to serve with both organizations.

My team from Cambodia will spend most of our time focused on a small town named Kratie, healing them physically as well as spiritually. While in Haiti, my team will focus on the people in Titanyen and the surrounding towns. Above all, we are devoted to serving the local people and developing relationships with them! This was Christ’s model for evangelism and I am excited to be a part of the Great Commission in Cambodia and Haiti.

I am very excited to be a part of this team! As I prepare for both trips, I need your prayers for safety and God to work in and through me, and I want to humbly ask you to consider supporting me financially. The cost of each trip is $2,500. While, it is a large sum to ask for in short notice, I know the Holy Spirit is calling me to both places, so I will be paying as much of these trips as I possibly can. Any amount would be great, but if you would be willing to contribute $20, $50, $100 or more, it would really help me to reach my goal!
