Hi, I am Hady, I am 18 years old, I am from Palestine, Gaza strip.
My story began when my dad gave me something I called “my first step to the dream”. This thing is the laptop. I was interested in technology since I was young. Since that, I spent my spare time discovering new things and knowing more about laptop’s details. Because I always wanted to know how the laptop works and the issues related to it, I searched about this, and I found that every single electronic part has specific codes. They are like rules or instructions that the electronic part must follow or do. These codes are put by the programmer. So, I started to learn programming and its languages on the internet. Gradually, I became an erudite in technology. So I decided to specialize in Computer Science.
Four years ago, when I received an acceptance from Altawon Organization to be a bridge student in Bridge Palestine Program, I felt that I am the happiest person in the earth, where this program can help me to achieve my dream which is studying my Bachelor degree in computer science in one of the American universities, this program helped me to improve my English language, leadership skills, personal skills, communication skills, and debate skills, and last year helped me in applying for admission at some American universities.
I have applied for five universities and I got offers from all of them, but unfortunately my parents and my family cannot afford to pay for my university education, s o this is why I have started a campaign, t o fund my university education, s o hopefully one day I can be a professional programmer and achieve my dreams.
My dream not just studying the Bachelor degree in America, but also I have many plans to do after that. I live in Gaza where the youth powers is highly required to solve many problems created by the Israeli occupation and the severe siege on Gaza, after finishing the Bachelor degree in America, I want to return to Gaza and spread the knowledge that I will receive in America to the Gazan students and trainers interested in my field of study through making courses, as well as work to make a big technological team to solve many problems that Gazan people suffer from by technological ideas.
Full tuition include (textbooks, fees, housing, meals and health insurance) for 2019-2020 academic year in Illinois college cost $20,914, and the traveling cost include (visa, transportation, plane ticket and entry permits cost) cost almost $4,000.
