We are Jacobs Ridge Animal Sanctuary, we operate in the heart of Murcia region, Spain. We offer sanctuary to over 120 animals, including pigs, goats, horses, donkeys, cats and dogs.

The sanctuary is run by a small team of 4 people and it is quite a challenge. Our main form or transport and general "workhorse", the Nissan Navarra pick up truck has suffered a major fault and we desperately need to get it back to work.

In the winter months we suffered massive rain storms which caused landslides and trees to fall. The ground became so unstable that our beloved and trusted truck, slid from the main driveway and grounded on rocks causing damage to the rear axle.

During its scheduled annual check up, it was declared "unroadworthy" due the damage.  Several quotations were obtained, all of which returned the same figure, approximately 2500 euros!

As an animal sanctuary this is lot of money for us to find and places a lot of financial stress on the day to day running budget. In short, we just cant choose to not feed the animals for a few days or choose not to pay for veternary care etc.  The priority is always "the animals".

So we thought we would put a call out and ask for some help. We have managed to find a work around solution in the meantime by utilising an old car that we had on site, its not ideal and is purely a short term fix. We desperately need our truck back in action.

What makes this even worse is that we had just had the truck fully serviced, repaired 2 wheel bearings, replaced the clutch and had 2 new tyres fitted, so our vehicle budget was depleted at the time disaster struck.
