On September 8, 2016, near Cleveland Tennessee, two men were seen by police leaving a known "drug house". During a traffic stop the officer noticed guns in the vehicle. When asked for ID, the men rammed the police car which led to a high speed pursuit through 3 counties. After crashing into 2 more police cars the suspects fled on foot. The driver was apprehended shortly after the foot chase began while the other suspect ran into a nearby wooded area resulting in an intense "manhunt". The "manhunt" included 3 county police departments, swat, tracking dogs, helicopters, and drones.

In the meantime; Mark Treuchet was working alone in a nearby landfill. The police called that all employees clear the area while the search for an "armed and dangerous fugitive" was underway. Around 2 hours later, the police called off the search and the employees were sent back to work as usual. Within minutes of Mark returning to work, the fugitive ran out of the woods approaching Mark. After several warnings to stop and fearing for his life, the suspect was shot and died on the scene. Now, for reasons that have us all confused, Mark is being charged with 1st degree murder. Mark turned himself in to the TBI, and is being held without bond.

Mark is a hard working veteran of the US Navy, a permitted gun owner, a loving father (with 2 small children left at home), a dedicated husband, and a faithful Christian. He also is a cardiac patient with a pacemaker and both hips have been replaced...Mark is the main provider for his family. I would like to include that over the years this man has raised an amazing amount of money for families suffering with leukemia, kidney disease, and tornado victims, just to name a few. Now HE needs YOUR help!!

Mark has been torn from his family due to the bad decisions of a known criminal.

His wife works part time and has been left alone with 2 children and little means to provide.

Our plea for help is great.

Anyone that can help and would like to help, any amount and/or through prayers will be appreciated and monetary gifts will go towards his bond (once set), legal help, trips to Tennessee, and household necessities.

Private attorneys have been ranging from $10k to $30k to start the case with an estimate of $90k to finish. Although bond had not been set, I fear it will be high even though he turned himself in (because nothing has made sense so far).

This case should raise eyebrows of all non-criminal, legally permitted gun owners. This case is evidence that when protecting yourself from an "armed and dangerous fugitive", you must be prepared to defend your freedom and constitutional rights.
