We are asking for your support and solidarity to help honour and commemorate a Revolutionary Freedom Fighter, a War Hero, a Leader, one who has lit the fire of resistance in the hearts and minds across the World, Chairman Fred Hampton of the Black Panther Party.
Chairman Fred Hampton Jr, son of Black Panther Party Leader Chairman Fred Hampton organizes an annual Revolutionary gathering and birthday celebration every August 30th, Chairman Fred Hampton Streetz Party.
This gathering is to commemorate the life of his father, who was assasinated by the US government on December 4, 1969, while he was still in his mothers womb.
This direct attack on Chairman Fred Hampton as a Leader in the Black Panther Party was an attack on the African and Resistance community in the United States at the time as the hightened consiousness and awareness of the mass violations of Human Rights was happening.
These violations have not stopped and the present politcal climate of police terror in Chiraq has in fact intensified. "As summarized by the Task Force, racism in the Chicago police department’s patrol of communities is no recent development. Communities of color have complained consistently for decades."
The Task Force highlighted “significant flashpoints” in its report, including the assassination of Black Panther, Fred Hampton, in the 1960s; torture by Commander Jon Burge and his “midnight crew” from the 1970s to the 1990s; targeting hundreds of thousands with unconstitutional “disorderly conduct” arrests in the 1980s; the enforcement of an unconstitutional “gang loitering” ordinance in the 1990s, and stop and frisks in the 2000s.
The statistics have stated that there was an average of 10 shooting per day during the month of June 2016. These increased and intense cases of police murders are terrorising African and other oppressed communities in Chicago, where they are refering to their own communities as "Chiraq", a hybrid between Chicago and a war torn Iraq.
August 30th, marks Chairman Fred Hampton's birthday in which an annual gathering and community event is organized to gather the Peoples of these impacted communites to create a space space for Familes, Youth and fellow Freedom Fighters from around the World to come and Honour and Commemorate, one of the strongest Leaders of our time, Chairman Fred Hampton.
