A Short Summary
Hello. We are the Big Help Academy, and we need your help to make an EP.
We have done so well through hard work and the support and
commitment from friends and family. We now need extra help to raise
funds needed to pay for recording time, and professional assistance in
making this EP. This will help us gain credible industry recognition,
and open up opportunities to play at festivals. In the music industry
credibility counts for everything and there are so many young artists
competing for attention. We know we have the ability and the ambition
to grow - as well as the ongoing support and encouragement we will need.
Financial points
Those at Big Help Management, the company behind the Academy, are aware we may not raise all the funds needed through Fundrazr. They are already helping us with fund raising and professional support.
COSTS (£3500)
This is a creative product and costs will evolve, however, these are estimated costings.
1. Studio costs - £1400 – Recording
2. Producer/Musician/Mastering - £1100
3. Pressing/printing/distribution (300 copies) - £300
4. Artwork/Graphics/printing for digital/physical and promotion materials - £200
5. Promotion/marketing/admin/copyright/legal - £500

The Impact
Individuals will gain the experience of producing and recording
a track at professional level, releasing it on an officially
registered UK label, working within current industry legal
requirements and norms, and have it distributed on iTunes, Spotify,
Deezer, Amazon and other digital platforms – as well as on a physical CD.
The learning benefit and enhancement of self-esteem are both positive
outcomes. Future career potential for those who choose to continue the
journey is also enhanced through this high value experience.
There is also a benefit to young people from the experience of working
collectively and in co-operation with peers and professionals and sets
a great example to their local and wider community of what can be achieved.
All of the tracks on this release will be eligible for chart statistics – if and when registered as an official chart entry.
Business plan: Recovery of costs post campaign
Specifically, they are the actual costs plus additional
promotion and pressing costs following release. We estimate that 100
copies will be allocated to pledgers – leaving 200 available to sell
direct at £5. This would yield £600 after tax and costs – leaving a
further estimated costings balance of £1150 in order to recoup the
cash subsidy provided by BHM. The Academy intend to stage a live
concert following the EP launch in order to offset part of the balance.
It is unlikely that we will be able to offset all the costs incurred by BHM, however, any additional funds raised will be invested in ongoing support for Academy members and will also help reach out to more talented teenagers.

A PERFORMANCE BY 2 OF THE ACADEMY ARTISTS AT YOUR WEDDING, GARDEN PARTY, COMPANY PARTY – on a date by mutual agreement - a 40 minute performance. Ever thought of having your own mini Music festival? 2 of the Artists will play for a total of 40 minutes at your own event. Valid for the UK only and within 20 miles of Rugby. Other central England locations are available - reasonable additional travel costs will apply by prior agreement.

Have you, or someone you know, ever dreamed of recording your favourite song and having it released - this is your chance. Either with a pre-recorded backing track (made by us) - or accompanied by yourself on piano or guitar - or with a friend playing for you - we will record and release you song on iTunes and other digital platforms. We take care of all the studio arrangements and will even provide a vocal coach to help you prepare your voice. This reward is for a solo performer - or accompanied by one other person. The recording will be arranged to take place at our studios in Rugby, Warwickshire and must be completed by June 14th

For the songwriters out there. You have written a song but don't have a band? No problem - we will supply the musicians. Want to sing it yourself but a little nervous? No problem - you will work with a professional vocal coach. Don't want to sing it yourself? No problem - we will provide a fab voice that suits your song. We take care of the recording, iTunes artwork and distribution. This track will then appear on a compilation EP and be available on iTunes and other digital platforms. For an additional cost we can also press some physical CDs for you. Your own song released - just like any other professional recording artist. Now it's time for YOU to live that dream. The recording will be arranged to take place at our studios in Rugby, Warwickshire and must be completed by June 14th
