**About the campaingn author -- I have enjoyed a loving ongoing personal relationship with Charlie and Sally for the past 12 yrs. They are my Christian Mentors, my Mother & Father, my safe harbor, in times of crisis. I facilitate bible studies with Pastor Charlie on a regular basis at Life Rebuilders, and facilitate "walkikng the 12 steps with Jesus Christ" support group on a weekly basis. My wife and I (Jean) did our pre- marital counseling with Charlie & Sally and on June 2, 2012 was honored to have Charlie preform our wedding cermony-- Larry J. Foster.
Charlie and Sally Bench currently are driving a 1999 Ford Focus that has many, many miles on it. The majority of which are from their tireless ministry work. Minister, Rev. Bench, has used his Spiritual Gifts and Cherokee Heritage to advance healing, restoration and reconcilation to the Body of Christ significantly throughout the Twin Cities. The old faithful focus is on it's last leg, and will not make it through another harsh Minnesota winter.
Pastor Charlie Bench, was born to a Cherokee Father and Scotch/German Mother, and his 100% Swedish wife, Sally have devoted 50 + years of marriage to living Col. 1:28. "Whom we preach (Jesus), warning everyone we can, and teaching everyone who will listen in all wisdom; that we may present everyone perfect in Christ Jesus".
"Pastor Charlie" as he is fondly called, states "At age 20 I learned to talk with God on a daily basis". In April 1960, during his service in Germany in the US Air Force, he re-dedicated his life to Christ through the ministry of The Navigators, and has been serving the Lord dutifully for the past 54 years! He and his wife Sally have been good soliders of the Lord!!
2 Timothy 1- 4 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to fathful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ!
Pastor Charlie and Sally Bench have chosen to live a modest and humble lifestyle barring to ask; but always ready to give. They reside in a 100+ year old home in North East Minneapolis and with great patience maintain its simple charm, beauty and character,
Today Charlie & Sally continue their varied ministry through Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove. Both are actively involved in Prison fellowship programs in Lino Lakes and Shakopee, Minnesota, as well as the Life Rebuilders and Freedom Works programs in Minneapolis.
Through prison ministry, mentoring, marriage counseling, teaching, pastoring, etc, etc, etc...they have been faithful shephards.
