Prissy needs help! She is one of Chapman's senior dogs That lives in her permanent foster homes. He foster mom had to rush her to the ER vet last night when she came home and found her not able to breathe . She was in respitory distress and was immeidiatly put in an oxygen chamber. She had blood work drawnand chest X-rays taken and there was some fluid on her lungs along with some inflammation but no definitive diagnosis yet. He breathing improved over night in the oxygen chamber. She was temporarily released today to rest at home for the remainder of the weekend where she is most comfortable. She is scheduled back at the vet first thing monday am for further testing including another set of X-rays to measure changes in fluid on and around her lungs and an ultrasound of her heart and lungs. The vet says her symptoms will be diagnosed as one of these 3 conditions 1) Chronic bronchitis 2). high blood pressure in her lungs, or worst case3) blood clot on her lungs.

The tests on monday will not only give us definitive answers - they will also be able to start treating the appropriate condition and get her feeling better! Her foster mom says she is not herself right nowand is very tired but is eating and resting comfortably and getting plenty of TLC.

Her foster mom has paid her bills to this point and we will pay her back, right now she has invested 600.00 at this point. I will post a copy of the invoice on here tomorrow. Tomorrows estimate for testing will be over 700.00 plus whatever treatment they determine she needs. Her foster mom is very attached to her and can't imagine losing her.  Prissy's foster mom has been a great supporter to Chapman's and we need help paying her back.

You can also call the vetand make a donation over the phone. She is being cared for at Animal Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC Their phone number is 704-334-4684 The account is under her foster mom's name Erika Abrams and will be under Prissy's fund.
