Hi all~

I have recently learned that the Sachse Animal Shelter is in need of two higher dollar items- a vaccuum cleaner and a digital camera.

As a small city shelter, funding is always tight and the employees care so much about the animals, they rarely have additional funds.

I've posted several times about the vaccuum cleaner and realize it's a higher dollar item, so a single person might not have the funds to purchase one on their own.

They've also just lost their donated photography services and cannot afford to pay someone. They are now seeking a good digital camera to start taking their own pictures. As a low foot traffic shelter, those pictures are truly a animal's ticket to a new home!

I know that a quality digital camera is beyond my means, so I thought I might try a different approach. Here's an online fundraiser you can participate in if you are able. There is no minimum or fixed rate.

The details: I picked a generic dollar amount. If more than is needed for these to items is earned, the shelter will tell me what other items they need. You can share this with your family and friends. It goes directly to my PayPal account, so I can post pictures and updates on the progress. I will post receipts of any items purchased. I might even post a picture of me doing some vaccuuming! Those of you that know me already know that I'm a huge advocate. :)
