Eddie and I started our journey in 2005 when we started trying to have children. We have always wanted 3 or 4 children, the longer we kept trying, the more we just wanted that one special child that God has for us. We kept praying that God would bless us with a child, and kept trying and going through procedures, tests, surgeries, more tests. God had other plans though! This March we will have been trying for 9 years for that special baby! We have been talking and had decided that we wanted to move forward, knowing that God could still bless us with a pregnancy we wanted to move forward instead of standing still. We went through the process to get licensed to foster and were licensed by the end of October. We got a call a week after being licensed for 2 sisters, a year and 2 years old. After getting excited about it we got a call back saying the family was going to step in and take the girls. Discouraged, but knowing that was what was best for the girls, we kept pressing on, waiting, hoping for that phone call! About a month ago I got a message from a long time friend, who is an angel from God, she asked us if we would be interested in adopting a baby that will be born in march and the mom is a heroine addict! We said yes right away without question, yes! My friend was going back and forth between the family and Eddie and I. We finally met the birth mom Krystal on December 28th, she told us that she knows she can’t take care of the baby and that she wants it to go to a family that will love it and take care of it!

We are so excited, and very hopeful and prayerful! Going forward, we are just praying that things go smoothly and that the baby is healthy.

We will have adoption fees and possibly hospital fees once the baby is born and we are hoping to be able to stay in IL while the baby is in the hospital. Should we fall short of our goal or hit other bumps in the road, then our precious gift will most likely be placed into the foster care system, which is never the goal for any child.

Thank you so much for taking time to read our story, and if you should choose to support us with prayer or a monetary gift we will be keeping everyone updated as to how things are going, and what we know when we find out details!
